  In 2025 the Environmental Tree Service team (working under a certified arborist) removed a giant sycamore that was in a hard to access space and was lifting up my concrete walkways and threatening my home's roof. They did such a good job that I invited them back this year to remove a giant redwood and second sycamore whose intrusive roots were causing concern for county sewer services (my side of the property line, my responsibility).

  The owner was very responsive by phone, pleasant to work with, and expressed appreciation for the opportunity to do more work for me. He and his team made the process so easy! The assessor worked with me to do the initial inspection, take photos and prepare the quote at a time that was convenient for my work schedule.

  Everyone on the team was highly professional--sawyers and stump grinders arrived timely, worked efficiently and were respectful of me and my property. I was impressed at how they consistently followed best practices for safety. They left the site very clean and made the whole process no-hassle. Cost was reasonable and billing process was easy.

  Amazing experience from start to finish! The team did an excellent job cutting our trees, and their prices were very reasonable. Everyone was super nice, professional, and respectful. They also did a great job cleaning up after the work was completed, which I really appreciated. Everything was left looking neat and clean.   Tree maintenance/pruning. The estimator came out, on time, good communication. I got a fair estimate with preference to my schedule. The estimate was in writing and I was able to respond on line. Their crew showed up early, with permission, and was conscientious to do the work and clean up afterward. I am very happy with the results and the service I received.

  We had to trim a sycamore tree in our front yard that was starting to overhang over our house and the street, which made a huge mess in our backyard since the leaves would blow over the house. When I contacted Environmental Tree Service, they had a prompt response and came within a few days after my request. The initial quote was free, and Jeremiah was great at answering all of my questions and amenable to the trim I wanted. After, he sent a quote very quickly and broke the cost down. He was also pretty flexible since I changed the quote a few times. On the day of the service, they were quick, efficient and kept my yard/house safe. They did a great job trimming our tree and I am so happy that I have this huge stress off my shoulders.

  I'm extremely happy that I found Environmental Tree Service to perform this tree removal that was a hazard to my house. It is very close to my house and in the storms this year actually bumped into it causing some damage - it was time to go. Jeremiah Calderon was the estimator who came out and this was my second experience with him - he is very professional, kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. I really needed to find a company I could trust and Jeremiah certainly made me feel like I was in good hands. His estimate was *very* reasonable for the extra care needed to remove this tree, and he was responsive to my questions, providing proof of insurance and a timely estimate. This tree is also a protected tree in the City of Sacramento, so a permit needed to be obtained and this company handled it all. It only took about 3 months from the day of the estimate to the day of the removal, and most of that was waiting for the City to process the permit. The crew that came out was great - friendly, thorough, and they cleaned everything up as well as did a great job with the stump griding. They finished it all in only 4 hours. I am very impressed and happy to have this stress relieved, I highly recommend Environmental Tree Service!

  Max came right over. He was on time and honest. He told us we didn't need to cut down the hackberry in front of our house, and he referred us to another company for fertilizing the tree. I was so happy to keep the 80 year old tree that shades my house and to not have another huge bill. I can't recommend Max enough! Great guy!

  Excellent job! Environmental Tree Service just finished cutting down and removing a 30' tall, dead red maple tree from the front yard of our South Sacramento home. Francis led a team of 2 men, Mike and Jose in the cutting and removal. They were professional, fast, and courteous. In addition, their price was quite reasonable. We highly recommend Environmental Tree Service.

  They were very responsive, not just with the initial contact, but throughout the project. The arborist was very knowledgeable about the type of tree in question, and recommended removing it completely instead of continuing to trim it away from the roof. They scheduled the work promptly, came out when promised, and the bill was reasonable, and as-quoted. It was gone... literally, without a trace. I'm out of the area, and all this was done remotely from my end. Doesn't get any better. Thank you!

  I called on Wednesday. Jeremiah came out that afternoon and gave me a very reasonable quote to trim back a mulberry tree. The very next day, a team came out and took care of the job in about an hour. Most excellent work!

  Highly recommend Environmental Tree Services if you're looking to cut or trim your trees or if you have any questions related to trees. I gave them a call and was able to make an appointment for someone to come take a look at our redwood tree that needed pruning. Jeremiah was on time and super friendly and knowledgeable. He answered all our questions and sent us the quote the same day. Mostly communicated with him through text. On the day of the scheduled work, a crew of 3 people arrived on time and went to work asap. They were efficient and cleaned up everything. Price was reasonable. Also, learned a lot about redwood trees. Thanks!!

  This is the third time I have used Environmental Tree Service. They are professional, efficient, skilled and friendly, from Jeremiah Calderon all the way through his crews. They took out our 50-foot red oak without damaging any surrounding structures. The crew worked rapidly and were well-coordinated. They came back to grind down a section of stump root that had been hidden under the mulch and re-set the concrete border that the root had lifted. They also fixed three window screens that had gotten abraded inadvertently when the crew was loading limbs into the chipper. They gave me a fair price for the job as well as a discount because I paid by check. I recommend them to all my friends who need tree service.

  I reached out to Environmental Tree Service regarding the removal of a tree. Jeremiah came out to provide me with an estimate for the removal of an unwell pecan tree which was infringing upon my neighbor's roof. He was professional and represented the company well. Estimate was consistently priced with other companies estimates. He told me he'd email me a written estimate later in the afternoon which he did. I selected Environmental Tree Service for my needs because of Jeremiah's customer service, can do attitude, the price and timeliness of scheduling the job. Jeremiah and the crew did not disappoint. The crew arrived on time, ready to work. The lead guy identified himself, again very professional, and the crew immediately got to work. They were quick, tidy and unless you'd seen the tree you'd never know they'd been there. The tree and all remnants were cleaned up. The second crew, the stump grinders, arrived an hour before I was told they would. They were also professional and hustled to get the job done. They completed the grinding, blew out my backyard and removed any signs of Environmental Tree Service or their staff having been there. I look forward to using this company again, soon, to prune some trees in my front yard. Great big thank you to Jeremiah and all who helped with my job. You guys are great!

  Spoke with Jeremiah who consulted what he can do and set up the schedule. It was sprinkling on the first day and then a downpour on the second appointment but his guys were on time and still able to complete the jobs. They took down the front yard magnolia with stump and the camphor with stump in the back. Job was split between two days (cutting down and then stump removals) and both his teams were on time and friendly. Jeremiah was open for any questions and quick to reply on text if he wasn't able to pick up on the phone.

First time they took out a very large tree what was too close to my house and lifting concrete, etc. This time they came and trimmed all the trees around my property up to the fence.   Environmental Tree Service recently pruned two large trees on my property. The trees were in poor shape and they needed to be pruned before the winter. Everything from scheduling the initial estimate to completion of the trimming was seamless. Jeremiah provided the estimate and he was responsive to my questions throughout the entire process. Their prices are comparable to other tree trimming services in the area. I also requested an estimate for each tree trimming and they offered a discount for scheduling both trees at the same time. I agreed to have both tree trimmed and my appointment was scheduled for 4-5 weeks out. On the day of my appointment, the crew arrived on time, confirmed which trees they were going to trim and went to work. They completed both trees within a few hours and I am very happy with the results. I will be using them again for my tree service needs.

  Great experience taking down a dying 50ft Modesto elm. Very efficient quote process, great value, quick scheduling, team five guys showed up and had my tree down and mulched in less than an hour. They were respectful of my neighbors and cleaned up well, 15 minutes after they left the guy with the stump grinder appeared and got to work. The whole thing was quick and painless.

  Totally professional! On time and pruned my oak tree beautifully!! The old oak hasn’t been trimmed in 20 years. It needed help Enviornmental tree service trimmed back the dead wood and reshaped the growth for ultimate tree health. It’s beautiful. Just in time for nature to move in.   There are not enough words to describe how good this tee service is. Jeremiah came yesterday and gave me an estimate. He called later in the day and said they could come today. They pruned trees ,took out dead bushes and cleaned every bit of the yard. They made sure none of the debris was in neighbors yards. AND their prices are excellent. Jeremiah should be elected employee of the year.

  Environmental Tree just completed a fourth job for us (have used this company for the past 4 or 5 years for tree removal, new plants and trimming). On this occasion they took out three trees, ground one stump and severed roots on another that will eventually need to be removed. Jeremiah is knowledgeable and professional. He is quick to respond and make adjustments mid-job when needed. He understands budgetary constraints and will provide alternatives (honest about what work can wait and what needs prompt attention!). He stands by the work and provides thorough, accurate estimates. We’ve had good luck with the employees doing work (excellent tree work - even in tight/complicated areas, timely, and careful clean up). Language barriers with employees sometimes requires a call to Jeremiah, but he is always quick to respond and clear up any confusion.

  We had a 75-foot tall tulip poplar removed last week from our back yard. It was a big project with 3 or 4 workers each day. The work was overseen by Jeremiah and Francis, both of whom are completely bilingual, making communication easy. They and the other workers are fine men and the job was done well. The site was cleaned up at the end of every work day, which was much appreciated. At the end of the removal, the stump was ground down for hours, leaving a well-finished job.

  Of all the tree service companies I've used over the years, this was one of THE best experiences I've had from the quoting all the way to tree removal. The quote seemed very far and scheduling was quick to follow. The crew that came out, had great customer service skills and they also fixed the drop line I had which had to be cut for the tree removal. I've never had another company take care of such things. Very happy and happily recommend.

Environmental Tree Service was able to come out the next day and safely remove the impacted branches and did some cleanup on a few other branches.   This is the second time we had our trees trimmed by Environmental Tree Services and again they did a fantastic job! We have two enormous liquid amber trees in the front yard with a history of dropping branches in the summer heat. Well, this summer they did it again! The difference was, the prior time we had the trees trimmed, we used someone else... lesson learned. We called ETS back and they gave us a reasonable quote -- including a returning customer discount -- and while it was not the lowest estimate, it also was not the highest. They gave us a fair quote for the amount of work and we knew they would do a quality job. The two liquid ambers were done so well -- thinned and shaped without hacking off branches or topping -- they look beautiful and the wind now moves through them without threatening to break anything! Special appreciation for the crew: Francisco, Diego, Chino, and Mikey! They were fabulous, taking their time while also working skillfully and quickly, cleaning up everything, the trees in the back and front are much better now! Highly recommend them!
